Process data elements represent the basic concept the data-centric specification of a KIP relies on. Amongst others, process data elements need to be effectively handled during KIP enactment. In our approach, this is accomplished by dynamically aggregating several data elements in a data object. For this purpose, data elements are mapped to attributes of the respective data object. Definition 7 (Data Object). Let be the total set of data elements read or written in the context of a KIP Pr. Then: A data object of Pr is defined by a tuple (ObjType, ObjAtt), where:ObjType denotes the type of the data object,ObjAtt = {,…,} corresponds to the set of attributes of ObjType. (In turn, these attributes represent a subset of the process data elements of Pr, i.e. ObjAtt).Example 2.
