4-Methyl-1-pentene (4MP1) is an advanced α-olefin, which is widely used for copolymerization with ethylene to prepare a linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) with excellent tensile strength, impulse strength, peeling strength, puncture resistance, and acid–base resistance. Moreover, due to its high quality, copolymer of 4MP1/Ethylene can be applied as a material for organic synthesis in the fine chemical field to prepare electrical circuits, synthetic leather, and medical instruments (Tao and Zhang, 2006; Wang and Jing, 2010).
