Business jets

A business jet is a type of aircraft that is primarily used for transporting business executives and their associates between international business centers. It typically has a seating capacity of six passengers and a range of less than 1,600 kilometers (1,000 miles), although some ultra-long-range models can transport 20 or more people. While some ultra-long-range business jets can transport 20 or more people between international business centers such as Tokyo and New York, the average business aircraft trip is less than 1,600 kilometers (1,000 miles) and seats six passengers in a cabin that is about the same size as a minivan. For companies with high-priced executives, or more than one major center of operation, this mode of transportation offers several advantages. In general, trips are more direct, flights can use smaller airports that are closer to company offices, airport line-ups and security congestion are avoided, and flights can depart on-demand to one or multiple destinations.

The full flight simulator situated at Mediterranean Aeronautics Research & Training Academy (M.A.R.T.A.) center, at the Kore University of Enna, has been used to replicate the behavior of the business jet aircraft Cessna Citation XLS560, under different dynamic inputs corresponding to several flight segments. Three tri-axial accelerometers, PCB model 356B18, have been placed on a business type passenger seat surface Z0, on the upper torso Z3 and on the head (see Figure 2).
