Eric joined Taylor & Francis in April 2020. He has extensive experience in developing and refining corporate messages and ensuring that they are heard by the right stakeholders and decision-makers.

From 2016, Eric was Vice President Communications & External Affairs at De Gruyter, and prior to that he was at Springer Science+Business Media for ten years as Executive Vice President Corporate Communications based in Berlin. From 2002 to 2005, he was Director, Corporate Relations at Elsevier in Amsterdam.

Before joining the world of publishing, Eric spent five years at strategic communications and public affairs agency, APCO Europe (in Brussels and Berlin), five years as Director European Affairs for United Parcel Service (UPS), and also gained experience in various communications functions for trade associations in Brussels.

Eric has an M.A. in European Studies from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium and a B.A. in Political Science and Germanic Languages & Literatures from the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
