Christoph Chesher is Executive Director, with over 35 years’ experience in academic publishing, most recently as Chief Commercial Officer at Taylor & Francis. He began his publishing career in 1984 at Blackwell Science, progressing to the position of International Sales Manager. In 1993, he joined Oxford University Press as Sales & Marketing Director for the Science, Medical & Journals Division. Shortly after Cinven’s purchase of Routledge from Thomson International, Christoph joined Routledge in 1997 as Sales & Marketing Director.
He holds an MBA from the University of Birmingham, as well as a BA Hons in History and an MLitt from the University of Stirling. He has a long association with the Stirling Centre for International Publishing and Communication at the University, and has attended as a guest speaker, external examiner, and more recently, as Chair of the Industry Advisory Board.
