As technology advances every day, vending machines provide simple as well as complex services to users according to their needs. The design, automation, and technology of vending machines are changed as per the users’ needs. Various products and services are offered by these automated machines, and they all fall under vending machines [1]. The very first vending machine was developed only for individual product delivery, such as for newspapers, cigarettes, beverages, and so on. Other types of services, such as transportation tickets and vehicle washing [2], are categorized as a payment for one service. These machines are commonly installed in crowded or busy places, such as bus/train stations, schools, airports, companies, shopping malls, and universities [3]. Users can purchase products without wasting time and can quickly make cashless payments [4, 5]. Some places offer 24 × 7 service, which explains why vending machines have gained so much of popularity and have led to large profits for vending machine owners [6]. All around the world, beverages like tea and coffee have become a part of life as well as an everyday routine. Hence, it is a very big market on a daily basis. The global intelligent vending machine market already reached a market value of more than $5,000 million in 2017 and is expected to reach more than $15 billion by 2025. It is estimated to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15.3%.

Evaluation and prediction of water resources carrying capacity using a multiple linear regression model in Taizhou City, China
Published in Human and Ecological Risk Assessment: An International Journal, 2023

Table 4 also shows that the score of the first principal component factor became increasingly smaller, indicating that the pressure on water resources in Taizhou became smaller. The increase in ecological civilization system construction, and the intensifying attention on the human living environment, led to increased ecological and environmental water consumption, at an increase of 200 million m3 in 2020 compared to 2012. The average annual growth rate was approximately 2.6%. In 2012, Taizhou drafted and completed a water-saving programmic system called "Taizhou Water Conservation Management Measures," successively compiled "Taizhou Water Consumption Quota (Trial)" and other planning schemes, strengthened total control and quota management, and established a "three red lines” control index system and assessment system covering all districts. Assessing the government’s key annual work targets in the three districts included the water consumption per 10,000 Yuan of GDP, and water consumption per 10,000 Yuan of industrial added value. Data for Taizhou from 2011 to 2020 indicated that as the water-saving society was continuously constructed, agricultural irrigation water consumption (accounting for the largest proportion of total water consumption) decreased by 126 million m3 in 2020 compared to 2011, reflecting an average annual decline of 2%. In addition, the industrial industry was further transformed and upgraded, and the industrial water consumption in Taizhou decreased by 240 million m3 in 2020 compared to 2011, with an average annual decline rate of approximately 5.6%. The total water consumption in Taizhou decreased each year.
The impact of autonomous vehicle technologies on product recall risk
Published in International Journal of Production Research, 2019

The statistical data of RAPEX shows that recall activity increased within the period under investigation. Between 2008 and 2016, the number of product recalls per year increased from 81 to 173, corresponding to an average annual growth rate of about 9.9%. This growth rate is larger than the German rate because of a sharp increase in product recall activity in 2016. Comparing the growth rate within the same period (2006–2014), the compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) shows a growth of 4.57% and is more aligned with the KBA data.
