Figure 9 presents an overview of our proposed PUF-based authentication framework where the e-health infrastructure containing IoMT PUF devices are connected over a satellite broadband network with ISP (Internet Service Provider) and mobile networks. Using this framework, we show that IoMT devices can be remotely authenticated and accessed by healthcare professionals on a remote device through a PUF-based mechanism. A detailed view of connected devices can be seen in Figure 10. In this case study, we use the Cisco packet tracer (a simulation tool) to simulate the framework.
