Gruber [17] defined ontology “as an explicit specification of a conceptualization” which was modified by Borst [18] as “a formal specification of a shared conceptualization” and then it was Studer et al. [19] explained the two definitions properly word by word where “Formal meant it should be machine-readable”. “Explicit specification means it explicitly defines concepts, relations, attributes and constraints”. “Shared means it is accepted by a group”. “Conceptualization meant an abstract model of a phenomenon”. Now ontology is termed as a knowledge artefact that has been designed to serve a purpose [20]. The ontology mainly consists of five components: concepts or classes (formalized parts of the domain), relationships (linkages between the concepts which may be taxonomic or non-taxonomic), functions (components with the objectives of estimating information from the other components), individuals or instances (representation of the domain’s main artefacts) and axioms (definitions of limits, rules and logic correspondences that must be met in the relationship between ontology components) [21]. Giunchiglia et al. [22] described the ontological knowledge base as an amalgamation of Tbox a series of general explanations about what is perceived in terms of concepts, standing for collections of entities and concept properties; such descriptions establish the essential vocabulary and philosophy of the domain (e.g. persons have a date of birth) Abox a series of assertions about definite entities and the original value of their properties (e.g. the date of birth of Michelangelo Buonarroti is 6th March 1475).

Finally, we completed the definition of our ontology with textual annotations that aim to give the users more details about our ontology components; in this annotation task we based our textual definitions on the documentation of TOGAF 9.
