ESR spectroscopic investigation of gamma-irradiated lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate

Lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate (CF3SO3Li), also known as lithium triflate (LiTf), is used in the preparation of electrolytes for some lithium ion batteries (39–41). Its simple structure and consistence of tissue-equivalent atoms lead us to determine the spectroscopic parameters of the radicals produced upon gamma irradiation of LiTf through a detailed ESR investigation and to determine the dosimetric potential in low (1–7 Gy) and intermediate dose ranges (0.5–7.0 kGy).
