The wings make up a major part of the weight of any aircraft, and human-powered aircraft is no exception. The wings are designed to use a little material as possible so the wings are made just stiff enough to support the fuselage. For light stiff beam, some of the potential materials under uncertainty with their performance ratings are tabulated in Table 4 where basically Al-alloys, Ti-alloys, and Composite materials have been considered. Some material attributes are rather ordinal like creep resistance or corrosion resistance and can be converted into cardinal by following the 5-points Likert Scale [44] as Very weak – 1; Weak – 2; Average – 3; Good – 4; Excellent – 5.
