This year’s annual meeting of the American Sociological Association will be held virtually, offering an exciting and diverse meeting with live and recorded sessions, resource materials, on online and pdf program and virtual social events.

The theme of the 116th Virtual Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association is ‘Emancipatory Sociology: Rising to the Du Bosian Challenge’, and will explore the differing purposes of Sociology and demonstrate how the discipline can simultaneously be a rigorous science whilst acting as a catalyst for social change.

Taylor & Francis publishes a vast portfolio of Sociology research, including publishing the European Journal of Cultural and Political Sociology in partnership with European Sociological Association (ESA), and publishing bestselling books such as Public Sociology.  Our Sociology portfolio explores all aspects of Sociology that are explored in the theme of this year’s meeting of the American Sociological Association.
