Introducing our Commissioning Editors at this Conference

Alex DeVoe is the Portfolio Manager for Environmental Health and Toxicology journals at Taylor & Francis, including the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene. Alex welcomes questions and comments about JOEH, academic journals publishing, and open access.

Jennifer Patterson, M.Litt, is a communications specialist and research coordinator in the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa. She has been the Assistant Editor of JOEH for four years.

Renée Anthony, Ph.D., is Professor at the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health at the University of Iowa's College of Public Health. She is a certified industrial hygienist and a certified safety professional, with both industrial and academic experience. She currently directs the Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health, a NIOSH-funded Agriculture Center. Her research includes investigation of aerosol transport and exposure, sampler development, field studies of physical and chemical agents. She has conducted studies examining the performance of respiratory protection for use by firefighters during overhaul activities and has participated in national panels to guide studies and recommendations, including food additive (diacetyl) exposures (NIOSH) and real-time aerosol exposures for firefighters (NIST), and provided review of the 2018 Monitoring and Sampling Approaches to Assess Underground Coal Mine Dust Exposures (National Academies). She has served for four years as the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene and is a Fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
