The midsternal line connects the middle of the suprasternal notch with the xiphisternal junction or infrasternal notch. The parasternal line is usually thought of as a vertical line just lateral to the sternum. The midclavicular line in most people passes longitudinally just medial to the nipple.

As the result of gravity GFA-induced breast excess skin is different in various parts of the breast, the upper part of the breast has more skin excess than the lower part of the breast. We can draw the four points on ipsilateral asymmetric breast by measuring the distance from the normal breast areola to clavicle midpoint, inframammary fold, midsternal line, and anterior axillary line. The skin between the four points and the above anatomical marks was preserved in the surgery.
